Value

Boom!

What is value and how do you measure it in a world that is all about the free? Or at least getting the free? Free everything on the Internet. I have a friend that has over 500 albums downloaded from the Internet. That she’s never listened to. So while she has something it has no value so therefore no interest.

I have another friend who is now only buying music now. He had a huge library of downloaded free/stolen/liberated music but didn’t invest the time to listen, really listen, to his music. Therefore the it had no meaning.

Now he’s only getting music from iTunes. It’s not having the physical that’s important to him. It’s the fact that he is investing in his own enjoyment by paying for something he cares about. That’s where he’s finding the value.

Wishing You All That You Wish Yourself

 Christmas Holly

I’m a very lucky boy, I have all that I really could wish for and because of that I’m really looking forward to Christmas. I think I have some good presents to give though every Christmas becomes more precious as the kids get older. Danny is already giving the great inquisition about Santa, Jake just doesn’t care. He’s just waiting for the ‘best day of his life’. The Doctor Who Christmas special is already making me and the kids wet ourselves, I’m making custard with the kids tonight and I am definitely the worst gift wrapper in the world. Tomorrow I’m eating everything I love from about 7.30 am. Perfect!

No matter where you are, no matter what you wish for I hope you get everything you wish for this Christmas.

Oops

Can we honestly say that this hasn’t happened to any one of us? It’s hilarious.

Loco

While waiting for my rice to steam, yes I am a renaissance man, I thought I’d share this crazy wee video that shows logos from 5,000 Web 2.oh start ups. Hurt my eyes yet I was compelled. Time capsule this so we can show this in the inevitable “I *heart* the naughties” retrospective in about 10 years.

Actually I had no idea that 5,000 websites existed! Who knew?!!?

Thanks to the ever readable Read/Write Web. Lovely.
