Leopard

Yes, I installed my new operating system for the Mac on Friday. While drunk. And I thought I’d bricked my MacBook as I got the blue screen of death after the install. So I went to bed and had simply horrible dreams.

Still in the morning I read stuff on the Internet and got it all sorted. I’m pretty happy with the update, it has small changes but those will probably save you time over the course fo a week and for that alone it is worth the £85 I shelled out.

The I enjoyed the buying experience from the Apple store in Glasgow. I didn’t queue before the launch, hell no it was Friday night in the cold, but the queue was over 300 feet long. I went in and got mine around 6.50 after a couple of pints and had it paid for in 5 minutes, no queue. The staff in the Apple shop are great and the process was really easy. The experience was great. I also got my free t-shirt that I wore yesterday under my clothes much to the disgust of my team.

If you’re not happy with the opaque menu bar in Leopard then you can download this cheeky wee application that sorts it out. Thanks to the guys at Eternal Storm that built it.
