The team took a little trip out to Hogganfield Loch to feed the birds. It was fun but I’m still terrified of swans. Marc, our resident bird master, seemed quite subdued which was too strange. Images taken and flickrd. It was Al’s idea and a lovely way to spend lunchtime.
Peace.

My great aunt was in an old folks home near the loch just before she died. We went to visit her there about 6 months before and she told us a story about how her father used to take her and her sisters and brothers there every Sunday because there was a hotel there where he could get a drink. He would leave the kids to play by the lake and he’d go into the pub. She said she was left there as a child and now she had been left there as an old woman. It was sad, not how I want to remember her, but there it is.
always love the pictures.
