Is a greater life expectancy really such a great thing? My great aunt and uncle (both in Scotland, mind you) both lived past 90. Those last years were not fun for them.
looking from the outside in…I wonder how this relates to my limited experience that the people I’ve met in Scotland compared the people I’ve met in England are far more friendly and smile more. (Speaking generally, of course, as, like most statements, it doesn’t apply to 100% of the people)
In the 2 1/2yrs of our living in the UK…nearly every positive experience we’ve enjoyed involved someone from or in Scotland. I’m not kidding!
I’m no scientist…can’t give you statistics or graphs or intelligent reasons why…I just wanted to throw that out there to share another perspective. : )
