Gig - o - rama
With 2007 came a list of things that I want to do. One of them is to go to more gigs and ope myself to more new stuff. It’s going full speed! Last night Big Al and I went to see Ricky Gervais live. He was good, though not as “raw” as I thought he’d be. And not enough about Karl. Still a good night. If you can I would recommend downloading the Podcasts.
This Sunday Ali and I are off to see Joanna Newsom. I love Joanna Newsom. She makes me go funny in my head. I can’t wait, this promises to be a very memorable night. I’ll let you know.
The 25th takes me to Manchester to see my favourite band of the moment, I’m From Barcelona. I am so excited about this, words fail me. 29 Swedes singing on stage? Count this boy in! Claire is looking after me in Manchester for which I’m most grateful. I just hope she doesn’t throw a mental strop like last time.
Then on the 26th Debby and I are off to see Daniel Kitson in his show, C-90. Debby swears he’s brilliant and I’ve heard nothing but good things. it’ll be a great night as after the gig I have to dash to Barfly to catch the Beecake in hot, music action. And possibly a few beers too.
If you’re at any of the gigs and you see me, say hello!

Thanks for letting us know you’re moving, I hate it when I can’t find your blog. You’re one of only a handful that I actually keep up with. Our Layla is now one of the ten girls in this area being tapped for modelling gigs. She still has to go to Panama City, Florida this spring before we’ll know if she got it. Wish us luck. Also wish us luck with Recipes for Disaster, from Billy’s Loons Charities. All profits go to Red Cross for natural disaster relief.
So yeah, please wish us luck.
Say Hi! to everyone for me, and if you would be so kind, please ask Ali if she got the glass slipper I sent to her for Christmas. BTW, I have some fossil shark teeth. Think your boys might like a few? I’ll send them some if you like.
Remain chilly, and enjoy your time off, from what I read, you’ve been very busy and deserve to treat yourself. Take care, catch you later…
Hi Stewart. See you at the Beecake gig. Dare I come up and say hi?
This looks even neater than the MySpace one Stewart.
Wow, Stewart, your plate seems full. Full of fun! I’m a big fan of I’m from Barcelona too. Can’t wait for them to tour in the USA. Will settle for a CD at this point. Emanuel said CD’s will become available in the US in March. Those other shows sound fun and i wish i was going to The Barfly to see Beecake, but maybe if i’m lucky, i’ll catch a show in the fall this year when in Scotland. Thanks for the new blog location update, and take care. -Kathleen xx
Never a dull moment in the Life of Stewart! Have a wonderful January! Right now I’m trying to convince the Hubby to take me and The One Kid to see Patti Smith at the Stone Pony in February. Wish me luck.
Hey Steele, Sounds like a lot of fun. I’m busy, but just work and the usual social stuff. Dying to go out and hear some music or see a show. Soon hopefully. Have fun!
