Big Day

It was my son’s first day at school yesterday and while he was cool I was all teary as he entered the classroom for the first time. I was also a little teary placing his tie on. It’s not right that a 4 (nearly 5) year old should be wearing a tie. No where near right.
Went to Kelvingrove Art Gallery after his first day as a treat. Jakers was interested in Mummies, dead Giraffes and Google Earth.

That’s my boy!

happy first day of school…

**hands mr stewart a tissue and gives him a pat on the back**
way to go, dad…!!
Oh, sweetie, I understand all too well. No, it does not seem right. I know, Daddio, I know. You suddenly realize that they are beginning to wander out of your grasp, and the empty place in you just aches.
My little terrorist, Hurricane Taylor, turn 6 August 14. I remember the olden days when she was a Boyd fan at age 2 and loved “The Pimpin’ movie”. At least now she knows his real name and I don’t have to explain allowing my grand daughter to watch a pimpin’ movie! She still taps the side of her nose and says “Don’t be tasty!” I haven’t the heart to correct her. They’re little for about a minute, and then, little by little, those days are gone. So yeah…I’m right there with you.
Big, warm hugs to you for your lovely dad-ness. I always loved getting news about your boys. Seems only yesterday your little men were still wee things wizzing in your boots…
By the way, he is a handsome lad, is young Jakers. He shall break a heart or two before he is done. Mark my words. Give both the boys a hug for Auntie Pipkin, and when the cookbooks come out, there are some kitchen projects you can do with them. The scratch and sniff watercolor paints should be a hit, among other things. Your boys don’t have to know you got them from a cookbook, and Dad shall rule.
A handsome lad your Jake is. It’s tough to watch them grow up isn’t it? Before you know it they want to burrow your car keys and stay out 15 minutes past their allotted curfew. rb
Ummm that’s ‘borrow’ not ‘burrow’ D’oh! *rolls eyes* rb
He’s so adorable! My first instinct was to notice he looked a bit Potter-ish in his wee sweater, lol. Quite bright, too, but I think that may run in the family.
Is it me, or is time just flying past?
how was the first week?
Ah, and it seems just yesterday that you were sharing the story of your wee laddie running about without a nappy, piddling on the floor, screaming ‘TA-DAAAA!’ and breaking into a fit of insane laughter!!! He’s quite a grown-up lad now, isn’t he?
What do you say we get in on an arranged marriage between him and my wee lassie (just now 2)? She’s quite a catch!!! ;D

How cute your son is!! My son is all grown up now at 18 and I was recently looking at his pictures from his early school days. It is so amazing how he has changed. How quickly they grow up.
Your son looks so excited to be going to school - good for him!
I remember when that little guy was born. Time flies.
We don’t think that the wee cute boy in the picture is yours, perhaps Brona has something to tell you!? We actually love your dancing but we will be boycotting the video evidence big time!Big Pam has still not recovered from what she saw under that beautiful kilt and plastic sporran and never will. Poor wee Jake, he never stood a chance, he’s on the first train to Geek Town. Bye for now love Billy & Big Pam (u know who we are)xx
